I love the holidays. The excuse to shop and spend money on yourself and others gives me such a rush. Choosing the perfect item for that perfect someone and seeing her face is a feeling like unlike any other as well. My mother says in this economy, "If you can't wear it or eat it, don't buy it." As corny as it may seem I think sweaters always make great holiday gifts - they fit everyone's frame and style, they are necessary for the in-climate weather of the holiday season, and a sweater is just plain classic.

Get Stylish...Fast!

Here are two extremely easy outfits that are comfortable, stylish, and may even allow you to shop your own closet! The first is for the more conservative and the latter is for our little fashionista vixens.

This look allows you to parade around in your favorite worn out jeans. Why is it okay to wear these outside of the house? When you mix the grungy pair of jeans with the sleek look and fit of a blazer, the two contrasting styles off set each other. Top the look off with a classic white tee, a long necklace, and a great pair of boots. Painting your nails with a purple-grey is a great shade that is work appropriate but is also stylish and fun!

What's great about this look is you can be lounging around your houseone minute and out for cocktails the next. Start with a great pair of basic black leggings and layer a slightly oversized sweater over them. Next, add a statement necklace and animal print or brightly colored shoes. The reason this outfit works is the contrast of the larger fit of the sweater against the tight leggings creates an attractive silhouette, where as two oversized items would look sloppy and two tight items would be unflattering and inappropriate. In addition, the simplicity of the outfit allows for fun accessorizing…cue the leopard booties and chunky necklace! What is the one closet staple no matter your style, whatever the season, whether it's a date or family affair, is an absolute must? Why a little black dress of course! With the holiday season rapidly approaching now is as good of a time as ever to snatch one up.

Let me introduce you to my current style muse; she is not only fantastically fashionable but is also a fellow fashion blogger and is signed by Next Models. A beachy grunge style mixed with notions of Parisian flair, Rumi Neely's look is so effortlessly chic its painful. What I love most about her style is her ability to mix high and low price points to create a unique and interesting look. When building her wardrobe she gravitates towards pieces with unique details that set it apart, whether its intricate embellishing or a unique hemline . Aside from swim suits one of the most frustrating items to shop for is that perfect pair of jeans. It can be overwhelming trying to decide which cut, wash, and style is right for you, so we’ve compiled a simple overview and suggested some great styles to fit your body type!

Legs:

Wide leg is…loosely fitted from the hip down, and opens to a wide leg

Trouser is…similar to a wide leg jean but typically features a wide hem

Boot cut is…fitted through thigh and knee; and begins to flare slightly from knee down

Straight leg…is a fitted jean that features the same width from the knee to leg opening

Skinny…is snugly fit through hip, rear, and thighs, and tapers from the knee to ankle

Denim Legging/Jegging…is meant to fit like a second skin, featuring a generous amount of stretch.

Rise:

A low rise falls…at two or more inches below the naval.

A mid rise falls…just at the naval.

A high rise falls…at or above the naval

If you’ve got…

a flat booty:

-Attract attention and dimension to your ass-ets with back flap pockets and/or a skinny jean.
